Escalators move people between floors on an incline, typically 30 or 35 degrees. Moving walkways (travelators) run flat or at a gentle incline of up to about 12 degrees, so shoppers can take trolleys and luggage with them. Supermarkets and airports often use inclined moving walkways for exactly that reason. We will recommend the right option for your building and footfall.

The price depends on the rise (floor-to-floor height), step width, inclination, duty class, indoor or outdoor installation, finishes and civil work. The common widths are 600 mm, 800 mm and 1,000 mm. A 1,000 mm step lets two people stand side by side and gives the highest capacity, which is why it is standard in malls and transit buildings.
An escalator has steps and climbs between floors at 30 or 35 degrees. A moving walkway has a flat pallet surface and runs level or at a gentle incline of up to about 12 degrees, so people can take trolleys, prams and luggage on it.
Installation typically takes a few weeks once the unit arrives and the building opening and supports are ready. The total project time depends mainly on manufacturing and shipping lead time, which we set out in the proposal.
