Hub Elevator supplies, installs and maintains cargo and freight lifts across Pakistan. The right goods lift removes a bottleneck from your operation: stock moves between floors faster, staff stop carrying loads up stairs, and forklifts and pallet trucks can work on every level.
How a cargo lift is loaded matters as much as how much it carries. International lift standards group freight lifts into loading classes. Getting the class right protects the platform, rails and machine from damage.
Goods are loaded by hand or with hand trucks, and the load is spread across the platform. No single piece should weigh more than about a quarter of the rated capacity. This suits shops, offices, hotels and light warehousing.
The lift carries cars or light vehicles up to its rated capacity. It is used for car parks and showrooms where ramps are not practical. The platform, doors and structure are designed for wheel loads.
Forklifts or pallet trucks load and unload the platform. This puts heavy concentrated loads on the platform edge during loading, often above the rated capacity for a moment, so the car and machine must be designed for it. This is common in factories, warehouses and cold stores.
A cargo lift is rated for a specific load and loading class. Exceeding it, or loading a Class A lift with a forklift, damages the platform and machine and creates a safety risk. We fit overload protection and label every lift with its rated load and class.

WhatsApp your cargo lift detailsCall 0333 2024498As a rough estimate, a cargo lift costs approx. 20 lakh – 1.2 crore PKR supplied and installed. The exact price depends on rated load, platform size, number of floors, loading class (hand, vehicle or forklift loading), drive type, door type and the civil work needed. A 1-tonne hand-loaded goods lift and a 5-tonne forklift-loaded lift are very different machines. Hub Elevator gives an itemised quote after a free site survey.
Start with the heaviest single load you will move, how it is loaded (by hand, pallet truck or forklift) and the size of the largest item. Forklift loading needs extra capacity and a stronger platform, because loads concentrate on the platform edge during loading. We size capacity and platform from your actual load profile.
Only if the lift is designed for industrial truck loading (Class C). A general freight lift (Class A) is not built for the concentrated wheel loads of a forklift and can be damaged. Tell us how you load and we will specify the correct class.
A cargo lift is built for goods: heavier platforms, larger car sizes, stronger doors and a design based on how it is loaded. A passenger lift prioritises ride comfort, speed and finishes. Cargo lifts carrying only goods and an attendant are normally not used as general passenger lifts.
Yes. Hub Elevator installs and maintains cargo and freight lifts across Pakistan, with offices in Karachi and Lahore and service coverage across Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
Yes. Goods lifts take heavy, frequent loads, so doors, rails, ropes and brakes wear faster than on passenger lifts. An annual maintenance contract with scheduled servicing is the cheapest way to avoid downtime in a working facility.
Send the heaviest load, how it is loaded and the number of floors on WhatsApp. An engineer will recommend the right capacity and loading class and arrange a free site survey.
