Dumbwaiter Lift Installation in Pakistan

Dumbwaiter Lifts That Save Staff Time Every Shift

Hub Elevator supplies, installs and maintains dumbwaiter lifts across Pakistan. A dumbwaiter pays for itself in labour: every trip it makes is a tray, crate or trolley that a person did not carry up a staircase.

  • Restaurants and hotels: kitchen-to-dining and room-service trays between floors
  • Homes and villas: kitchen to upper-floor lounges, and groceries from the ground floor
  • Hospitals and clinics: medicines, samples, linen and meals
  • Offices, banks and libraries: files, documents and small parcels
  • Shops and warehouses: small stock between floors

What Is a Dumbwaiter Lift?

A dumbwaiter is a small goods lift built to carry items, not people. It runs in its own compact shaft between two or more floors, with a service hatch at each level, usually at counter height or floor level. Because it carries no passengers, it needs far less space and building work than a passenger lift.

Types of Dumbwaiter Lift

  • Counter-level (window) dumbwaiter: the hatch sits at worktop height, which suits kitchens, restaurants and pharmacies.
  • Floor-level dumbwaiter: the hatch is at floor level so trolleys roll straight in, which suits hotels, hospitals and warehouses.
  • Kitchen dumbwaiter for homes: compact units linking the kitchen with upper floors.
  • Heavy-duty service lift: larger cars and higher capacity for commercial kitchens and hospitals.

How We Specify Your Dumbwaiter

We size a dumbwaiter on what it carries and how often: the heaviest load, the size of the tray or trolley, the number of floors, where the hatches go and how many trips an hour it must make. Stainless-steel cars are standard for food and hospital use. We confirm everything at a free site survey and give an itemised quote.

Dumbwaiter FAQs

How much does a dumbwaiter lift cost in Pakistan?

The price depends on capacity, car size, number of floors, hatch type (counter-level or floor-level), car material and the building work needed for the shaft. A two-floor home kitchen dumbwaiter and a heavy-duty hospital service lift are different machines. Hub Elevator provides an itemised quote after a free site survey.

What can a dumbwaiter carry?

Goods only: food trays, crockery, linen, files, medicines, samples and small stock. Dumbwaiters are not designed or certified to carry people.

How much space does a dumbwaiter need?

Far less than a passenger lift. A compact kitchen dumbwaiter needs a small shaft footprint and little or no pit, which is why it can often be added to an existing building with limited building work.

Can a dumbwaiter be installed in an existing restaurant or home?

Yes. Most dumbwaiters are retrofitted. We survey the building, find the best route for the shaft between floors and plan the hatch positions around your kitchen or service area.

Do dumbwaiter lifts need maintenance?

Yes. Doors, interlocks, ropes and the drive need regular checks, especially in busy restaurant and hospital kitchens. We offer annual maintenance contracts to prevent breakdowns during service.
